Professors Chen Yu and David Crandall and colleagues co-organized the Second International Workshop on Egocentric Perception, Interaction, and Computing (EPIC) at the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), the premiere international conference in the field. The workshop brought together 20 talks and papers from leading researchers in computer vision, machine learning, and psychology.
Caiafa, Saykin, Sporns and Pestilli had an article accepted to NIPS 2017 (the article was rated top 10% of this highly competitive conference of machine learning and received a "spotlight" presentation). They will present the work at NIPS 2017 conference in Long Beach: Schedule
Brain Life gets new NSF grant. This grant will be synergistic with EAR by developing an online platform for research assets (data and analyses code) accumulation. This platform will allow gathering large amounts of data with the goal to benefit research by allowing large-scale machine learning algorithms to act on them.
